Precious ebony veneer, ebony is almost extinct, and there are still some in private collections, which are very precious and rare!
Half of the white materials on the outside cannot be used, only the ebony veneer can be used. The beautiful patterns are fascinating. Only top-level furniture can use ebony veneer!
Ebony, also known as ebony, black rosewood, has a dark brown to yellowish purple brown heartwood, some are almost black or often have black stripes. The log has a poor shape, the end face is irregular, and rarely round or oval. There are many hollows, and the yield rate is extremely low, about 10% to 15%. The wood surface has a good gloss, smooth feel, and feels like satin. It is bright and translucent, with little color change. The black wood grain is looming, implicit and unobtrusive.
Ebony is one of the world's precious and rare woods. It is produced in tropical rainforest areas and has a very slow growth period. The wood is extremely precious, the material is delicate, the density is high, the pores are small and rare, and the hardness is the highest. It is hard and smooth. The patina formed after the cut surface is polished is very bright, like a bronze mirror; it is just like the surface of satin, reminiscent of jade. This visual smoothness like jade comes from its tight texture, rare pores, and heavy oil. The ever-changing black patterns are like famous mountains and rivers, like flowing clouds and water, better than jade and jade, which makes the masters of Impressionism feel inferior. The charm of ebony lies not only in the appreciation of the eyes, but also in the touch of the hands.
The more precious Okoume veneer:
Okoume, commonly known as mahogany, is a kind of wood from Africa, mainly produced in Equatorial Guinea, Ghana and other countries. Okoume is a soft miscellaneous wood species, with dense and fine wood, brown-red color, simple and natural, fresh and elegant decoration style without losing warmth, and is mostly used as a decorative material for high-end homes.
Okoume veneer is veneer processed from Okoume wood. Because Okoume has the characteristics of strong gloss, straight texture, fine and uniform structure, light weight, soft hardness, low strength, medium shrinkage, and no scars, it is widely used in the processing of rotary cut veneers. The thickness of Okoume veneers on the market is generally between 0.1-0.6mm. The thinner the veneer, the better the wood.
The more rare and precious white shadow:
White shadow wood is mainly produced in Thailand and Myanmar, and also in India/Indonesia. Since the natural forests in Thailand were basically harvested ten years ago, most of them are now reforested, so the best is the Burmese teak, and the others are inferior. Teak is green-yellow when it is first cut, and then turns to a uniform golden yellow. It has high oil content, straight wood grains, staggered and wavy, medium pressure bearing, fire and acid resistance, and excellent physical properties. After air drying and sun exposure, the color is better. It is the most stable among the natural wood species with the same use range! This is also one of the reasons why it has the longest history and the best reputation among all kinds of wood used as flooring. Shadow wood is the root of shadow. Its characteristic is that after the log is cut and sliced, the cloud-like or water-wave-like wood shadow with a strong three-dimensional sense can be seen, and the decoration effect is extremely elegant. Therefore, this type of wood is also very rare and belongs to high-end rare tree species. Shadow wood can be used for large areas or as a local foil embellishment, depending on the decoration budget and decoration style. Common shadow wood varieties include red shadow (there are shadow Anliger, light red), white shadow (milky white), maple shadow (light yellow), golden shadow (golden yellow), and Macoli shadow (purple red).
White shadow wood is a high-end decorative panel, most of which are 3.2 thick and expensive. The color is white with dark shadows.
The biggest problem with white shadow wood construction is that it cannot match the appropriate wood lines. If the white wood lines are matched, they will look similar without paint. After painting, the lines will be yellowish. It is best to use clear diagonals for the entire decoration, including door and window frames. And you can't use gun nails and mosquito nails, which will leave scars. Use universal glue to stick them.
In short, if you want a good final effect, the construction is very difficult.
