In the production process of movable furniture, from woodworking cutting and polishing to the production of soft furniture, we attach great importance to fine craftsmanship. Especially in the manufacturing process of soft fabric, it mainly relies on manual craftsmanship, with the main processes including nailing the inner frame, backing the fabric, gluing the sponge, cutting the car jacket, and finally the touch process.


Soft fabric technology process

1. Framework production

According to the order number or the data size determined by the designer, cut and polish the purchased materials according to the sample, and then assemble the nail frame to form the basic framework.

2. Leather cutting and needle sewing

There are two types of fabrics for soft furniture: leather and cloth, both of which need to be processed before they can be used together. We call this the cutting process

1) Genuine leather; Smooth and soft to the touch, with delicate texture; And it has the characteristics of flame retardancy, strong wear resistance, and easy cleaning

2) Environmentally friendly leather: It is a new type of artificial leather with a soft touch and a texture similar to genuine leather.

3) Xipi: an artificial synthetic leather that imitates the patterns of genuine leather such as rhinoceros hide. It is mainly composed of PVC and has a thickness of over 1.0mm

4) Fabric: The fabric velvet has a bright color, is flame retardant, stain resistant, has strong wear resistance, and is easy to clean.

5) Sewing: Using a flatbed, the cut leather is joined piece by piece. Sewing is a very important process that affects the appearance and quality of a sofa or chair.

6) Pressure line; Using a single needle car for thread pressing, depending on the sofa design, is a type of decoration that can emphasize the shape of the chair or starting point through lines.

7) Wire pressing: Use a double needle car to press the wire. It can be said to be a decorative line, also because after the flat car is connected, when the leather surface is spread out on the front, two layers of leather will be stacked at the connection of the flat car. Using a double needle car to sew the overlapping parts firmly not only makes the connection less likely to break, but also makes it relatively flat when set on the sofa frame.

3. Bottom adhesive cotton

Stick the cut sponge onto the inner frame according to the process requirements. The body of the sofa frame is bonded with foam, which may seem simple, but the accuracy of the application is closely related to whether the finished product after the leather cover is nailed is beautiful or not! The use of high-density disposable shaping sponge has the characteristics of good elasticity and resistance to deformation.

4. Inspection of semi-finished products

Check whether the leather cover and inner frame made above meet the process requirements.

5. Mengpi

Insert the cushion leather cover onto the seat frame and position it appropriately according to the appearance of the sofa.

6. Installation

Sofa installation outer frame and feet, chair installation armrests, chassis and trial installation.
